ATS Family Program
At Advanced Therapeutic Services (ATS), we believe that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in community. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated Family Program to support the loved ones of those in treatment. Family involvement is a vital part of long-term recovery, and we welcome families to join us in this journey of education, healing, and connection.

Addiction impacts the entire family system, emotionally, mentally, financially, and spiritually. The stress of watching a loved one struggle can leave family members feeling helpless, exhausted, and overwhelmed. At ATS, we honor the experience of families and offer tools to help restore hope, understanding, and empowerment.

Our Family Program is designed to remind families that they are not alone. Through education and shared experience, participants discover renewed strength and a supportive space to process the impact of addiction, and begin to heal together.

Family Program Overview
Held every six weeks at our Rancho Mirage clinic, the ATS Family Program is typically one to two days in length and takes place on weekends to accommodate busy schedules. Open to all families of individuals in treatment, this program may occasionally include joint sessions with clients and their loved ones.

Taught by our experienced clinical team, psychoeducational sessions may include:

  • Understanding the Disease of Addiction

  • Relapse Prevention & Recovery Dynamics

  • Communication Skills & Conflict Resolution

  • Forgiveness & Boundary Setting

  • Co-Dependency Awareness

  • Roles in Dysfunctional Family Systems

Our goal is to support the healing of the entire family, not just the individual in recovery. Each session is thoughtfully curated to provide tools that help family members recognize enabling behaviors, shift patterns, and cultivate healthier dynamics moving forward.

Beyond education, families find comfort in community. Participants often connect with others who share similar experiences, realizing they are not alone in their journey. This sense of camaraderie can be deeply healing and is something we wholeheartedly encourage, not just among ATS families, but within the larger desert recovery community.

The Family Program is open to the public and may be attended for a small $25 fee.

Our clinical staff will always be available to answer questions and provide ongoing support. Whether you’re just beginning this journey or continuing to walk alongside a loved one, we invite you to join us for a weekend of insight, encouragement, and shared growth.
